Triethanolamine is a hygroscopic material with liquid Ammonical odor. Triethanolamine is also known as a TEA, Trolamine, Tri ethylolamine & 2, 2- Nitrilotriethanol. Triethanolamine is used as intermediate in the manufacture of surface active agent, textile specialties, antirust compounds, waxes, polishes, herbicides, petroleum demulsifier, cement additives and cutting oils
Triethanolamine - TEA is extensively used in the manufacturing of synthetic resins as solvent in a casein, shellac and dyes for increasing the penetration of organic liquids into wood and paper, in production of lubricants for textile industry, and in making emulsion with mineral and vegetable oils, paraffin and waxes.
As a neutralizing and emulsifying agent in cosmetic and pharmaceuticals industry for manufacturing of Skin care products like creams, ointments and shampoos.
